Log In/Out

The Guild, and My attention-deprived Xbox 360

Still having the time of my life spending this Holiday Vacation at the Treehouse with my two lovely ladies. We’re really having the time of our lives together, though I do feel like I’m cheating life right now. Haha, Suckas!

On top of this, I really have taken to being really Dude-like today and slept in to about 11 a.m., a feat I haven’t accomplished already this entire winter break. Instead of writing early, and working on screencasting, I found myself watching every episode of The Guild, but I really have to say that I enjoy it thoroughly.

The Guild - A show about gamers

The Guild - A show about gamers

The show is based around a girl named Syd who is really named Codex, in her mirror world. I’m not going to review it as I’m a bit late to the tea party, but the show’s characters fit every stereotype of the groups that make up this new roleplaying generation. Personally, I’ll just stick with my pen, paper, and polyhedral dice. What I really wonder about with this show is how well those who do not game, or know someone personally who games would enjoy it? I myself have watched people dive into the worlds of Warcraft, Everquest, and D&D Online, and they do hang around these types. Or I’d see them while I was playing a tabletop game. No matter what, it is worth a check out. One thing I particularly love if the derision that all the characters have for console players.

I watched the show not off of the links from the website, but with my Xbox 360. I’m kind of feeling guilty for not showing my 360 much love as of late. The MacBook does seem to get hella attention time on my off time. But really, I still stand firm on the idea that I haven’t wanted to play as much since I’ve lost the wide screen dimensions.

I’ve been too embarrassed to log onto Halo3, because I know of the p0wning I will get because I don’t have my corners. Anyway, enough of my own nerd ramblings. I do love the old school Geometry Wars game. And while I have the urge to discuss my XBox Live Experience, I’ll just go ahead and quit now.

Tomorrow I have a busy day, I have to go get my license, but I hope to have my first screencast put together and I’ll make sure its something… I dunno… dorky. Haha, now I have a project while I wait at the DMV. I already know what it will be.

I also want to thank everyone for visiting. Cheers!

Manny, I couldn’t agree with you more about The Guild. Portions of that show are my real life! My husband had me watch it about 6 months ago and we laughed so hard at every one!

I must say, that I never thought about you as being an Online Gamer. I’d love to see it. Amy’s never strapped on a headset, though I’d PAY for that!
